Panthers' Jalen Coker: Returns to practice
Coker (undisclosed) participated in 7-on-7 drills Wednesday, Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer reports.
Kaye notes that Coker "looked fast" and seems to have recovered from the soft-tissue injury that limited his participation in OTAs. He impressed as an undrafted rookie last year but will still need to fight for first-team reps during training camp, competing with Tetairoa McMillan, Adam Thielen and Xavier Legette.

Panthers' Jalen Coker: Still working on the side
Coker (undisclosed) continues to work off to the side during OTAs, David Newton of ESPN.com reports.
The wide receiver was also only getting in limited work in late May during OTAs. Though he's likely behind Tetairoa McMillan, Xavier Legette and Adam Thielen on Carolina's depth chart, Coker is definitely in the mix after catching 32 passes for 478 yards and two scores as a rookie in 2024.

Panthers' Jalen Coker: Dealing with injury
Coker was spotted working off to the side of Panthers' practice Tuesday due to a soft-tissue injury, Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer reports.
The severity of Coker's injury is currently unknown, but it's a positive sign that he didn't need to sit out of practice entirely. The second-year wideout from Holy Cross is expected to compete for snaps in a crowded Panthers wide receiver corps headlined by 2025 first-round pick Tetairoa McMillan, Xavier Legette and Adam Thielen. However, Coker may fall behind the competition for a depth role if he's unable to return to the field soon.

Panthers' Jalen Coker: Leads pass-catching corps in win
Coker brought in all seven targets for 62 yards in the Panthers' 44-38 overtime win over the Falcons on Sunday.
Coker led the Panthers in receptions, receiving yards and targets on the afternoon to cap off an encouraging rookie campaign that included a 100-yard effort in addition to Sunday's productive tally. The undrafted Holy Cross product recorded multiple receptions in each of his last seven games and will enter training camp next summer ready to compete for a higher spot on the depth chart.

Panthers' Jalen Coker: Catches two passes in loss
Coker caught both of his targets for 35 yards in Sunday's 48-14 loss to the Buccaneers.
The undrafted rookie wideout from Holy Cross finished as the Panthers' second-leading receiver in Sunday's blowout loss, trailing Adam Thielen's 110-yard performance. Coker has shown flashes of potential throughout his rookie campaign, having now recorded 25 receptions for 416 yards and two touchdowns over 10 appearances. Expect the 23-year-old to remain one of the Panthers' top receiving options in Week 18, when the team travels to Atlanta.
