Jacob Kibodi: Reverts to practice squad
Kibodi reverted to the Browns' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.
Kibodi was signed to the Browns' practice squad Dec. 18 after being cut by the Saints in early December. He made his NFL regular-season debut against the Ravens on Saturday, and he ended up serving as the No. 2 running back behind D'Onta Foreman due to John Kelly injuring his groin before the start of the game. Kibodi took advantage of the opportunity, playing 17 snaps on offense and turning five carries into 24 yards while adding one catch (on three targets) for 15 yards. His performance in Cleveland's regular-season finale could earn him a reserve/future contract and a chance to catch on with a team for the 2025 campaign.

Browns' Jacob Kibodi: Auditions in finale
Kibodi had five carries for 24 yards and caught one of three targets for 15 yards in Saturday's 35-10 loss to the Ravens in Week 18.
Kibodi, an undrafted free agent running back out Louisiana-Lafayette, was on and off with the Saints organization in 2024 before joining Cleveland's practice squad in December. He was elevated to the active roster and made his NFL debut due to several injuries in the backfield. In addition to the six touches on 17 offensive snaps, Kibodi had a couple of red-zone targets. Like many areas on Cleveland's offense, the backfield is expected to undergo a makeover in 2025. Whether Kibodi is part of that is still to be determined, but he could eventually sign a reserve/future contract, which would put him on the team's 90-man offseason roster.

Browns' Jacob Kibodi: Elevated for Week 18
The Browns elevated Kibodi from the practice squad for Saturday's game against the Ravens.
With Jerome Ford (ankle) and Pierre Strong (concussion) sent to injured reserve Friday, Kibodi will slot in as the Browns' RB3 behind D'Onta Foreman and John Kelly versus Baltimore. The 26-year-old has yet to appear in a regular-season NFL game.

Now with Cleveland, and with Nick Chubb (foot) out for the season, the 26-year-old undrafted rookie could have a chance to compete for the opportunity to make his NFL debut.

The Saints cut Kibodi from the practice squad Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Since failing to make the Saints' 53-man roster at the end of training camp, Kibodi has been on New Orleans' practice squad for two separate stints. He could be invited back on the practice squad for the tail end of the 2024 regular season, but the 26-year-old running back has the opportunity to explore other opportunities.

The Saints signed Kibodi to the practice squad Tuesday, John Hendrix of SI.com reports.
Kibodi signed with the Saints' practice squad in late August after failing to make the 53-man roster at the end of training camp. He was let go by New Orleans on Oct. 1, but after a month of being without a team, the 26-year-old running back will return to the Saints' practice squad. The undrafted rookie has yet to be elevated from the practice squad to the active roster this year, but Kibodi could have that opportunity against the Panthers on Sunday if third-string running back Kendre Miller (hamstring) is unable to play.

Kibodi wasn't able to make the 53-man roster at the end of training camp, but he opted to stick around on the practice squad. Assuming he clears waivers, Kibodi will look to catch on with another team in need of backfield depth.

Kibodi linked up with New Orleans in the spring after going undrafted out of Louisiana. The 25-year-old netted 71 yards on the ground in the preseason on 18 carries and added another 30 yards through the air on four catches.

Undrafted out of Louisiana, Kibodi signed with the Saints as a free agent and rushed 18 times for 71 yards (3.9 YPC) and two touchdowns during the preseason. He also caught four passes for 30 yards. Perhaps Kibodi did enough to warrant a look on the practice squad should he go unclaimed Wednesday.
