Fantasy News

  • Dolphins' Chop Robinson: Logs 6.0 sacks in rookie season

Robinson registered 26 tackles (16 solo), including 6.0 sacks, and four pass defenses across 17 regular-season games in 2024. Robinson was Miami's first-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, and he made an immediate impact for a Dolphins' defense that lost Jaelan Phillips (knee) after Week 4 and didn't have Bradley Chubb (knee) play in a single regular-season game. Robinson finished second on the team in sacks behind Zach Sieler (10.0), and the former finished second among NFL rookies in that category behind the Rams' Braden Fiske (8.5). Robinson earned a spot on ESPN's Ben Solak's 2024 NFL All-Rookie Team, and the Penn State product will look to carry that momentum into the 2025 campaign.

  • Dolphins' Chop Robinson: Productive in Week 15 loss

Robinson had two tackles (one solo) including 1.5 sacks during Miami's 20-12 loss to the Texans in Week 15. Robinson, across 14 appearances in his rookie campaign, now has racked up 21 tackles (twelve solo), including 5.0 sacks. He's also tallied three passes defensed. The rookie first-round pick will work to close out the year strong, with Sunday's game against the 49ers representing the first of three remaining regular-season contests.

  • Dolphins' Chop Robinson: Reinforces pass rush in Miami

The Dolphins selected Robinson in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 21st overall. Christian Wilkins' departure may have made defensive tackle an obvious need for the Dolphins, but Bradley Chubb (knee) and Jaelan Phillips (Achilles) both suffering season-ending injuries late in the year necessitated some edge help if the right player was available. The Dolphins landed on Robinson, a disruptive pass-rusher out of Penn State who had 9.5 sacks and 17.5 tackles for loss in two seasons at Happy Valley. Miami will have to tailor its scheme to get Robinson in the right alignment as he is just a touch under 6-foot-3 and 254 pounds. He has a motor and explosive athleticism (4.48 40-yard dash) but Robinson will need to develop his pass-rush moves as merely winning on athleticism will be difficult at his size.
