  • Pelicans' Brandon Boston: Undergoes ankle surgery

The Pelicans announced Monday that Boston recently underwent successful arthroscopic surgery on his left ankle.

Boston missed the final 30 games of the regular season with his nagging ankle issue. He's now looking at a timetable of 3-4 months, though he has plenty of time to recover in time for Opening Night of 2025-26. During his first season with New Orleans, Boston averaged 10.7 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.3 steals in 23.6 minutes per game across 42 outings (10 starts).

  • Pelicans' Kelly Olynyk: Undergoes heel surgery

The Pelicans announced Monday that Olynyk recently underwent a minimally invasive surgery on his left heel and ultrasound-guided tendon debridement.

Olynyk missed the final three games of the regular season with what was described as left Achilles tendinitis, so this surgery was likely to address that. Olynyk faces a recovery timetable of 3-4 months, so his status for Opening Night in 2025-26 shouldn't be in doubt. Olynyk, who is entering the final year of his contract, averaged 10.7 points, 5.9 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 0.9 steals per game in his 20 appearances with the Pelicans after he was acquired via trade with Toronto.

  • Pelicans' Kylor Kelley: Grabs five boards in finale

Kelley ended Sunday's 115-100 loss to the Thunder with three points (1-1 FG, 1-2 FT), five rebounds, one assist and one block in 15 minutes.

Kelley received limited playing time during his third appearance with the Pelicans, averaging 3.3 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.0 assists across 19.7 minutes per contest in that three-game span. The big man ended the campaign by signing two 10-day deals with New Orleans, though he also spent time with Dallas on a two-way contract before being waived in March. Kelley began the season with the G League's South Bay Lakers and will likely seek a two-way deal ahead of the 2025-26 season. The undrafted rookie finished the 2024-25 campaign with averages of 3.1 points, 3.5 rebounds and 0.5 assists across 11.5 minutes per game in 11 regular-season appearances with New Orleans and Dallas.

Cain finished as New Orleans' second-leading scorer during Sunday's regular-season finale. The 26-year-old two-way player will be a restricted free agent during the offseason, and he finished the 2024-25 campaign with averages of 5.3 points, 2.3 rebounds, 0.6 assists, 0.6 steals and 0.2 blocks across 13.6 minutes per game in 37 regular-season appearances.

Brooks posted his sixth consecutive contest with double-digit points during the club's regular-season finale. The 24-year-old began the season under a standard contract, though he was waived in October before signing back on with the Pelicans under a two-way contract in January. Brooks is set to be a restricted free agent during the offseason, and he finished the 2024-25 campaign with averages of 10.1 points, 4.1 rebounds, 0.9 assists, 0.7 steals and 0.7 blocks while shooting 48.6 percent from the field across 23.7 minutes per game in 14 regular-season outings.
