Diamondbacks' Jeff Brigham: Will be sent back down
The Diamondbacks will option Brigham to Triple-A Reno prior to Tuesday's contest against the Mariners, John Gambadoro of Arizona Sports 98.7 FM reports.
Brigham gave up three runs without recording an out in Monday's game. He will be replaced on the roster and in the bullpen by Bryce Jarvis.

Diamondbacks' Jeff Brigham: Return to majors on tap
The Diamondbacks are expected to select Brigham's contract from Triple-A Reno ahead of their weekend series against the Nationals, Nick Piecoro of The Arizona Republic reports.
Brigham made his last appearance in the big leagues during 2023 for the Mets. He pitched in 37 games and posted a 5.26 ERA across 37.2 innings. In 17 appearances for Triple-A Reno in 2025, he has a 5.82 ERA in 21.2 innings with 34:9 K:BB. The 33-year-old will take the roster spot of Kevin Ginkel, who is set to be optioned.

Diamondbacks' Jeff Brigham: Receives NRI deal from Arizona
The Diamondbacks signed Brigham to a minor-league contract Saturday that includes an invitation to spring training.
Brigham, who turns 33 in February, spent the entirety of the 2024 campaign at Triple-A St. Paul in the Twins organization, holding a 4.64 ERA and 59:26 K:BB over 42.2 innings. The righty reliever has seen action in parts of five major-league seasons, collecting a 4.76 ERA and 121:55 K:BB across 117.1 frames.

Triple-A St. Paul reinstated Brigham (oblique) from the 7-day injured list Tuesday.
Brigham has made two appearances out of the St. Paul bullpen since being activated, covering 1.2 innings while allowing three earned runs on zero hits and three walks. The right-hander had been on the shelf since April 5 with a left oblique strain.

Brigham was placed on the 7-day injured list at Triple-A St. Paul, retroactive to April 6, with a left oblique strain, TwinsDaily.com reports.
Brigham, 32, collected a 5.26 ERA and 42:18 K:BB over 37.2 frames with the Mets last season. He'd thrown 2.2 innings and allowed one run with four strikeouts at St. Paul before the injury. He was expected to add depth at Triple-A, but it looks like he won't be an option for several weeks or more.

The right-hander spoiled a possible combined shutout for the Mets with a shaky eighth inning that saw him throw only 14 of 29 pitches for strikes. Brigham was fighting for one of the final spots in the Mets' bullpen, but his 2023 campaign will instead begin in the International League. Brigham and right-handed pitcher Elieser Hernandez were traded from the Marlins to the Mets in exchange for minor-league pitcher Franklin Sanchez on Friday, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.
Brigham was designated for assignment by the Marlins on Tuesday and will now head to New York after the Mets acquired him via trade. Over 16 appearances with Miami in 2022, the reliever produced a respectable 3.38 ERA and 1.33 WHIP with 28 punchouts over 24 innings.
