Brewers' Trevor Megill: Rights ship with 13th save
Megill picked up the save in Tuesday's 4-1 win over Atlanta, throwing a clean ninth inning with two strikeouts.
After giving up two runs in a blown save Saturday against the Padres, Megill righted the ship Tuesday for his 13th save of the campaign. The hard-throwing right-hander has still been excellent for the most part over his last 17.2 innings, posting a 2.04 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 16:8 K:BB over that span as Milwaukee's clear-cut closer.

Brewers' Trevor Megill: Blows save but notches win
Megill (1-2) blew a save but earned the win against the Padres on Saturday, allowing two runs on two hits and a walk over one inning.
Megill entered in the ninth frame to try to protect a 3-1 Brewers lead, but he couldn't get the job done. The righty reliever yielded a one-out single and a two-out walk before allowing the Padres to tie the score on a two-run Luis Arraez double. Megill remained in the game and retired Manny Machado on a groundout, and he emerged with his first win of the campaign when Caleb Durbin hit a walk-off homer in the bottom of the ninth. The blown save was just the second of the season in 14 chances for Megill, and Saturday marked the second time he's surrendered an earned run over his past 15 outings, so he's plenty secure in his closer role.

Brewers' Trevor Megill: Grabs another save Monday
Megill notched the save in Monday's 3-2 win over the Reds after throwing a clean ninth inning. He struck out one.
Following an uneven start to the campaign as Milwaukee's closer, Megill has settled in nicely over the past month of action. The hard-throwing right-hander holds a 0.69 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 13:7 K:BB over his last 13 innings, successfully converting each of his 10 save opportunities during this stretch. Megill appears to be well over the knee issue that plagued him earlier in the year.

Brewers' Trevor Megill: Battles for 10th save
Megill picked up his 10th save during Monday's 3-2 victory over the Red Sox, allowing one run on one hit and three walks.
It wasn't pretty, but Megill was able to get the final three outs of the Brewers' Memorial Day victory to cash in on his ninth straight save opportunity and 10th overall this season. He needed 34 pitches and walked three batters along the way -- a shock considering he had walked three batters combined in his 10 other appearances in May. It was the first time the 31-year-old surrendered an earned run since late April, a span of 12 appearances.

Brewers' Trevor Megill: Puts out fire for save Thursday
Megill picked up the save in Thursday's 8-5 win over the Pirates after throwing a clean ninth inning. He struck out one.
It was a spotless inning of work for Megill but not for the Brewers, who saw Carlos Rodriguez give up two earned runs in the frame. Megill allowed one of those runs to come across via a groundout, but it was still his 10th consecutive outing without being charged with an earned run. The hard-throwing right-hander has strengthened his hold on Milwaukee's closing job after a rocky beginning in 2025, having converted each of his last six save chances while posting a 0.93 ERA and 9:4 K:BB across his last 9.2 innings.

He allowed a one-out bunt single and issued a two-out free pass, but he also struck out two and induced a groundout to finish off the save. Brewers' Trevor Megill: Converts second save
Megill recorded the final two outs to earn the save in Friday's 5-3 win over the Athletics.
Bryan Hudson began the ninth inning but allowed three of the first four batters to reach base. Megill allowed an inherited runner to score on a sacrifice fly before inducing a groundout from Shea Langeliers to end the threat. This was Megill's second save in three chances this season, though his last opportunity ended in disaster when he blew a save versus the Diamondbacks last Saturday. Megill is now at a 4.26 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 8:4 K:BB over 6.1 innings this season. He has a loose grip on the closer job for the Brewers, in large part due to an ongoing issue with his knee.

Brewers' Trevor Megill: Available to pitch
Megill (knee) was available to pitch Sunday versus the Diamondbacks and Monday against the Tigers, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
Megill imploded Saturday in Arizona and it was revealed that he had recently undergone an MRI on his knee and would be seeking a second opinion. Evidently, he has checked out well enough to pitch. Megill had pitched well prior to struggling in his last appearance and remains at the top of the Brewers' bullpen hierarchy. However, he's a bit of a health red flag right now.

Brewers' Trevor Megill: Getting knee scans evaluated
Megill is set to receive a second opinion on his knee this week after recently undergoing an MRI, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
Megill got his knee checked out a few days earlier, but he wasn't shut down after the MRI came back clean, and he proceeded to pitch in both of the Brewers' first two games of their series in Arizona this weekend. Though he struck out two and allowed one walk in a scoreless inning in Friday's 7-0 win, Megill unraveled in Saturday's 5-4 loss, blowing a save chance and recording just one out while giving up three earned runs on two hits and three walks. After the disastrous performance, Megill is getting examined again as a precaution, but the right-hander didn't use the injury as an excuse for the blown save while speaking to the media Sunday. He'll presumably remain available for Sunday's series finale, though the Brewers will probably look to stay away from him after he tossed 37 pitches over the past two days.

Brewers' Trevor Megill: Implodes in loss
Megill (0-1) took the loss and a blown save in Saturday's 5-4 defeat against the Diamondbacks. He allowed three runs on two hits and three walks in one-third of an inning.

Megill hadn't allowed a run in 4.1 innings prior to Saturday, giving up just two hits and one walk while striking out eight in that span. Despite the rough outing, the 31-year-old Megill figures to remain the primary ninth-inning option for the Brewers.

He hadn't been scored upon in his first five outings of the season prior to Saturday's disaster. For now, Megill has been cleared to pitch, but it's something worth monitoring in the near future.

Brewers' Trevor Megill: Locks down first save of 2025
Megill gave up a hit and struck out one in a scoreless ninth inning Friday to record his first save of the season in a 3-2 win over the Reds.
Getting his first save chance of 2025, Megill looked amped up when he struck out Gavin Lux, the first batter he faced, on three pitches. With Devin Williams now a Yankee, Megill is set to be the main man in the Brewers' bullpen -- a role in which he amassed 21 saves last season while the Airbender was sidelined with back trouble. Through his first 3.1 innings this year, Megill has a 0.00 ERA and 6:0 K:BB.
