Yankees' Carlos Rodon: Struggles against BoSox
Rodon (8-4) took the loss Sunday against the Red Sox, allowing five runs on three hits and three walks over five-plus innings. He struck out five.
Rodon tied his season high in earned runs allowed Sunday and took his first loss since April 13 (10 starts). The left-hander surrendered a pair of home runs, including a three-run shot by Carlos Narvaez, which ended Rodon's day after 90 pitches. Rodon had allowed just two runs in his previous four starts while accumulating a 31:7 K:BB in 25 innings. On the year, Rodon owns a 2.87 ERA across 84.2 innings.

Yankees' Carlos Rodon: Win streak at seven
Rodon (8-3) picked up the win in Tuesday's 3-2 victory over the Guardians, allowing one run on five hits and a walk over seven innings. He struck out eight.
The veteran southpaw was locked in a pitchers' duel with Tanner Bibee most of the way, but back-to-back solo shots by Jazz Chisholm and Anthony Volpe to lead off the bottom of the seventh broke open a 1-1 tie. Rodon has won seven straight decisions, with his last loss coming back on April 13, and during his undefeated stretch he's rattled off seven quality starts in nine trips to the mound with a 1.27 ERA, 0.85 WHIP and 70:15 K:BB in 56.2 innings. He'll look for his eighth straight win in his next outing, which is scheduled to come at home this weekend against the Red Sox.

Rodon was masterful Tuesday, matching his season highs in innings and strikeouts. Rodon (6-3) notched another win after throwing six shutout innings Thursday against the Rangers. He allowed just two hits and walked two batters while striking out eight.
In a game where the only offense of the day came via a Jorbit Vivas solo homer, Rodon turned in perhaps his best performance of the season. After Thursday's gem, he's now surrendered one or fewer runs in three of his last four starts, including two scoreless outings. The 32-year-old has struck out 28 batters over that four-game stretch and 80 for the season, which is tied for sixth in MLB.

Rodon tied a season high with four walks issued Friday, but he limited the Mets to one run in the fourth inning and finished his outing with 15 whiffs on 102 pitches (60 strikes). The 32-year-old southpaw has logged at least five strikeouts in each of his 10 starts this season, and his 72 strikeouts are tied with Cole Ragans for second-most in the American League behind Garrett Crochet (73). Yankees' Carlos Rodon: Fans 10 in no-decision
Rodon came away with a no-decision in Saturday's 11-7 loss to the A's, giving up four runs on eight hits over six innings. He struck out 10 without walking a batter.
Homers by Luis Urias in the second inning and Brent Rooker in the third accounted for all the damage off Rodon, who fanned double-digit batters for the first time this season thanks to 20 swinging strikes among his 98 pitches (67 total strikes). Rodon did not factor in the decision during Monday's loss to the Padres. He allowed three hits and a walk over 6.2 shutout innings while striking out five.
Rodon was dominant Monday; he did not give up an extra-base hit and only one Padre reached scoring position with him on the mound. He was in line for his fifth win of the season before San Diego posted a four-run eighth inning to win 4-3. Rodon has given up two or fewer runs in four straight starts, dropping his season ERA from 5.48 to 2.96 in the process. He also completed at least six frames in each of those four outings. Rodon will look to ride the momentum into his next matchup, which is lined up to be on the road against the Athletics this weekend.
